Today we went to the high school and some of the kids perfomed a small play for us. The play was about the seven stars of Matariki. We celebrate Matariki in June and it is Maori New Year.
We made some stars with pieces of string and diamonds too. We had some fried bread with jam on them to celebrate Matariki.
It was really cool to go on the bus to the high school and see some big kids doing a show, my favourite part was watching the show.

In Matariki, I liked the rainbow. I also liked doing the strings. My mum told me that she used to do strings when she was young.
