Mrs Payne and I have arrived in Rotorua safely. We went swimming in the hot pools last night. Today we have to go to classes all day just like you I hope you are working hard for Mrs B

Summer Reading

We read all summer and filled in our summer reading form. Mary from the library came in today and gave us our prizes.

Lent

Yesterday was Ash Wednesday the beginning of the season of Lent. We went to church and Sister Mary used ashes to make a cross on our forehead.

We have been learning that Lent is the time to live more like Jesus lived. Lent lasts for 40 days and it leads up to Easter. Mrs Schroder has given up chocolate for Lent and Room 2 have a path of footsteps that they are going to try to follow during this time. This may include giving up things like tv for a night or being extra good or saying some special prayers.

Swimming

Sprinkler Fun

On the Friday of the first week of school we played in the sprinkler. It was fun.

Here is a picture of Aoibheann jumping the sprinkler. Sparsh and Rebecca and Pia are in it too.

1st Mass

At our first mass on Friday Father Jolly blessed the new children to St Mary's.

Father blessed Adam, Pia and Breanna who are new to Room 2.
