Ben Browne the author visits St Marys
The whole school went to the hall and Ben Browne came to talk to us. He told us about writing books and stories. We found out that he likes to read books and to write them. His wife is an illustrator and she draws the pictures for his books. He didn't like reading until he was 9 and he read a book called Tom Sawyer.
He read us some books and Pia held the book and turned the pages to show us the pictures.

ReplyDeleteIt was tricky turning the pages. I nearly turned a whole lot at once. My favourite story was called Eels Dreaming. Did you know that eels have teeth at the back of there throats.
